Manfred is a play never intended to be perfomed on stage, written by Lord Byron in 1816-1817. Manfred has as its theme defiant humanism, represented by the hero’s refusal to bow to supernatural authority. Friedrich Nietzsche was inspired by the poem's depiction of a super-human being to compose a piano score in 1872 based on it, "Manfred Meditation".
Previously released as an edition of 33 exclusively with the sale of a limited edition of Michael Rose's Infernalia. After a few years had past, a couple of people had requested copies and I asked on social media if more people wanted a chance to get our edition of this classic Satanic play. Enough people answered in the affirmative and I produced a second limited edition of 33, hand numbered and signed by the publisher.
